Here are some pictures of the Hydraulic brake conversion. I took a brake line from a 07 Phazer to get the length and added a caliper, brake disk, master cylinder/lever from a 98 SRX.( Any proaction brake system will work) I contacted Vmaxmike on the Vmax4.com forums for the mount bracket and bolted it all in place. Bleeding the brake was the worst part.

You can also see I added a 2.5" Lake Effect riser as well thats why we needed a longer brake cable.

Here are some pictures of the sled in pieces. I picked this sled up for $500 with a dirty carbs and tossed cylinder. No damage to the jug. All we had to do was clean the carbs and pop in a new piston and rings.

Finished product. Clean with some awesome Yamaha Products. I was most impressed with the Yama-Lube Spray Polish and Instant Detailer and how well it made the paint finish come back to new without extensive buffing!!

Cool sled, it looks like you didn't cut any corners. Is this just a hobbie project, or something else?

I drove it last year once we dialed it in... and she would easily beat an Apex... it just needed a good brake, taller bars and a seat... a real seat...LOL

TOM NICE, LOVE MY 95 800 BOUGHT IT NEW AFTER BIG MOOSE YAMAHA USED IT AT THE AMSNOW SHOOTOUT. STILL RACING IT TODAY. I JUST THROUGH AFEW TY STICKERS ON MINE!!! lol. 3:16 (YAMMIE TONY)

I love the 800 power after we did some work to it, just hated the seat and riding position and brake. I am hoping the changes I just made to this will make it a blast!

Wait, wait, let me get this straight, a 16 year old 500 dollar sled beat a 15000+ dollar apex? Is the apex slow or?
