Viper track lug hight

Someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I am fairly sure that for a 1.5" lug you will need to go to an 8 tooth driver, so yes, you are correct.

You can run a 1.5 track but you will have to remove the front heat exchanger protectors and tunnel protectors and you will still have a bit of rubbing at times. Best to go with 8 tooth drivers

Also. If you decide to go through with the 8 tooth driver swap remember to also make the correct gear swap in the chain case. You'll probobly have to go down one tooth on the top sprocket.

keep in mind with 8 tooth you loose power due to bending the track around a tighter cuve, and it is also alot easier to jump the track if you hook up hard or anything like that. i would consider atiratchet drives if you do it. if your really lookin for a summer project keep your eyes out for a drop and rolled chaincase instead, then you could keep the bigger drives and your protectors. That will take a little more work, not sure how much mechanics you are willing to put into it, not to mention probably a bit more money involved.
