For my 98 srx700, I would like to replace my 15 wide non-hyvo gears and chain with 13 wide hyvo. I recently bought several gears and two chains. The seller could not confirm whether the gears and chains were hyvo or non-hyvo. (that was O.K. by me, I figured for the price I would by the lot and see what I got). The problem is that the 68L chain is hyvo and the 70L chain is non-hyvo, therefore I do not know which gears are hyvo and which gears are not. If anybody could look at the pictures of the gears and tell me which ones are hyvo it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

PRETTY EASY WITHOUT GETTING INTO LOOKING AT PICTURES, 13 WIDE GEARS ARE NARROWER THAN 15 WIDE. those will be hyvo. THAT SIMPLE. 3:16 (yammie tony)

13 WIDE HYVO SRX GEARS 2000-01-02 ARE VISIBLY NARROWER THAN 98-99 SRX 15 WIDE GEARS. THOSE GEARS LOOK TO BE ALL 13 WIDE HYVO. THEY LOOK EXACTLY like MY SRX GEARS AND I HAVE A 2000. DIFFERENCE IS IN THE TEETH. CHAIN YOU NEED IS lower CHAIN. I MYSELF HAVE NEVER SEEN A 13 WIDE NON HYVO YAMAHA. NOT TO SAY ITS NOT there. 3:16 (yammie tony)

in your first set of pics, the 23t and the 38t appear to be hyvo and the first chain pic would be the hyvo.
in you last set of pics with the two chains, the last(bottom) chain would appear hyvo.

the 41 looks like my 40 polaris. the splines are the same but the offset is different so you either have to have a thinner spacer made or have the gear surface ground to match the srx offset. that is of course if it is actually a polaris gear
This may help it is a link to gearing and chain charts.
