I am looking to replace the collared bearing used on the drive shaft of my 99 VMax SX.

I am looking at dennis kirk. Can anyone tell me what comes in the bearing kits they sell?

I am guessing I need the drive axle kit. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Not sure about the dennis kirk ones. I did look at the kits from "all balls" and they look very nice. A lot of guys use them with good results. Do a search here and google it for specific info, lots of good reading. But it seems everyone will tell you to stick with OEM. If you maintain them they will last the life of the sled IMO.

The all balls ones come with a standard 6205 bearing for the chaincase side as well as a seal and o ring for the coller, the speedo side is a csb205 or ***205 bearing with lock coller available on feebay for around $11.00 shipped,I have used them without any issues.

Or hit up Motion industries. I buy bearings through them. Usually Timken bearings for a good price.

2X on the Motion Industries... If you have a store near you, you can bring all your bearings into them and they will match them up for you. Way cheaper then Yamaha, and easier than ordering them online. The store near me had everything so I was able to buy them on the spot w/o having to wait for them to order anything.
