What year is your sled? I recall when they came out they used an excessive amount of oil. If I'm remembering right you adjust the notch or mark on the pump arm to a line on the pump housing at WOT. Like most other sleds adjust the mikuni oil pumps. Not the cable measurement Yamaha issued.

Should be a round tower with a line through it on the pump body. I can't find a picture to show you or I would. I was working at a Yamaha dealer during those years. It's a little foggy, but it's still in my head somewhere. Lol I have a friend that did this on his sled and that fixed the problem and it ran great for years until he sold it.
