Bender did not build a 780 kit. Hauck, CPR, Maxx Perf, and MrViper build them. Bender's big bore setup is an 835 kit. Either a 780 or an 835 can make a very reliable pump gas trail setup. I would steer clear of the Hauck BB's. Although they can be very safe, the porting offered is lacking, and therefore so is the performance. The 780's use nicasil cylinders, the 835 uses steel sleeved cylinders. The 835 does make more power, no question. They are all fairly expensive to build, but you can get great performance out of them. I run a 780, case ported, 40.5mm carbs, 12.7:1 compression ratio, Bender 835 BB Pipes, and have never had an issue with it. It made 181 hp on the dyno with trail safe jetting, and could easily be in the upper 180's with a bit more cylinder porting. My SRX is also for sale in the classifieds.
