Vintage Vmax . com - what happend??

Did anybody see?? it takes you to a vintage clothing site now-what the?

Dang....just when I was going to post questions about an upcoming 86'-87' Vmax build..........dang,hope it gets fixed soon -awesome site!!!

Looks like they forgot to renew the website name. You can post your build here.
 
eh the email address that the renewal info was being sent to was an old one so neither me nor chuck recieved anything until it was too late... then when i went to renew it the company said i owe $178... i tried to tell them they were ful of BS but they never replied, so i just paid it this morning... it should be coming back up very shortly

You really have to watch those company's, they did that to CPR but wanted 1000 to get it back... bunch of A-holes.
 
Tyler, transfer it to bluehost as soon as you can too. That company you are working with is not in your best interest. Bluehost wont charge that kind of money either if something goes haywire.

Hope your database was backed up.
 
eh everything is fine and back to normal... i would like to get over to blue host but im worried about database migration... that baby is pretty big... maybe possibly i could set up a mirror site until i make sure everything is going to go over without a hitch. im just not sure what i would do for a url.

either way vintagevmax.com is back up and running... if you cant get to it still try these steps:

1: got to START> RUN> type "cmd" press enter.
2: type "ipconfig /flushdns" press enter
3: close all of your browser windows if they werent already, and then try vintagevmax.com again

about the $178, that was for 3 years... why they let the website run without payment for 2 years is beyond me. they claimed they had no way of getting ahold of myself or chuck. even tho i am friends with the owner on facebook and we have talked several times. heck he even personally emailed me when it expired to ask me if i want to renew it (and it was personal not automated)... maybe thats why he let it go for 2 years without payment but hell he could have said something and we would have paid :o|
 
I definitely will try to post on both if at all possible......this summer has been so crazy so far, i haven't even had a chance to start it yet!!!! I got a "free" 86' Vmax last summer, then I bought a rough 87' for "extra parts" ...now I don't know what year I want to have my finished product 1986 or 1987...not sure yet....should I ask everyone's opinion on the subject?

BTW- if you have any Vmax parts laying around let me know what you don't need/want - Mrsled-did you get much seat time on your Project vmax this year?? if so I may convert my seconday to a reverse cam unit I have laying around from a 95 vmax 600.....it has to work better than the old button style setup?
too many projects,so little time.....

I have tons of parts for 83 to 86 Vmaxs, I actually have a descent 86 that runs that I would like to get rid of... most likely take it to Hay Days to sell. As far as the project sled, it really could be geared down some, it works really well but thats a lot of track to turn for that 84 motor so the top speed suffers. The seating position, ride and handling...well everyone that rode it so far laughed and said that thing is really really fun... the 136 mono skid in there really works awesome!!
 
Yea I hear ya there - only so much you can do with a piston ported twin piped/carbed 540.....what were they - high eighties HP when it was cold outside????
always wanted a Vmax after my dad (and I)owning enticers, exciter 440s, phazers & SRV's ...etc.

thats why I love tyler440s vintagevmax site(and obviously this site too!!)- it is really "specialized" towards the Vmax/SRX in the TSS chassis ....i can remember one of my first "official" snowmobiling trips with my dad and seeing a 81' srx for the first time - wow!!!
and this is coming from a kid who's all-time favorite sled up until then was the black & gold 80 srx440!!!! (your welcome hman for the 80'srx that i never shopld have sold...)

i'll PM you if I have specific part needs....maybe even pm me pics of your 86' ?? I have a lot of stuff i need to do something with.....

i cant change my password for the vintagevmax site i send emails to change it but nothing....i also have alot of parts for the vmaxs...
 
This summer is crazy busy....next week i will get some kind of a list of stuff i need....volunteering this weekend for the michigander bike ride....haven't had a free weekend in ages!!!!!

would love to take the 86' off your hands....trade ya for a 81' ex440 & 80 ET340 ???
 
Well....I got the 87' up on the stand finally, took the seat off .... and i forgot my dang camera to work.

Will try and start this thread maybe monday.
