I have a stock '03 SXviper it has 96 studs up the middle. They are only one season old. I'm planning on clutching it this off season, so I would think i'd have to step up to 144 studs, due to added stress that would be put on the 96.

Now am I able to add the other 48 with out having to remove the studs I have now?

Thanks Matt

There are many different paterns used for studding but no matter which you are using the answer to the question is yes.

Where would be the best place to put them may depend on what your current pattern is.

With the 96 studs you have now I'm assuming that you have 2 studs per track bar on a 121" track. To upgrade to 144 studs you will have to add 2 more studs to every second track bar. With the 96 studs in a v pattern (even if they're not) there should be no issues adding the extra 48 studs.
