pipe insulation

whats recommended for replacing insulation under the heat sheild on SRX pipes I looked up this on search and no really good answer came up

Ceramic fiber insulation. You could also wrap them while you have them apart.

I re did mine last winter and used fiberglass insulation.I just took a piece and pulled it apart so it wasn't so thick,cut it to length and fitted it under the shields.
The original stuff looks like fiberglass matt so if you can get some thicker matting you could use that.
