I was wondering if anyone knew who made these transfer rods? It seems as though you cannot adjust it by hand on the fly, the screw needs to be backed off before it is free to twist. Anyone else have a similar setup? Thanks.

That's what I was thinking, but I thought the Bender rods were easily adjusted with a simple twist by hand, which doesn't appear to be the case with this set.

just looked at a set of benders on ebay. same as yours. even if you have to loosen that set screw to adjust, that's still easier than changing shims on the stockers

Thanks Staggs ^^^ yes it will be much easier, just need to carry an allen wrench with me at all times in case I want to go off trail and lift those skis!

Those are older Bender rods...I have them on my VMAX4 as well as two SXs...no need to touch the set screw unless you are disassembling them for cleaning and greasing. Just pull down on the knurled blue portion and turn.

Thanks for the response Bob ^^^ but trust me I have already tried, I know what you mean by the knurled section and that's what made me think it could be hand adjusted on the spot. Will take another look at it tomorrow, possibly loosening it up with some WD40 will do the trick. Thanks.

Yea, Def bender rods. I have the newer style without the set screw.. If it has been sitting for a while it may have bound up on ya, or the previous owner locked it in place with the set screw. A nice soaking of pb-blaster should do the trick.

^^^ Yeah I'm not sure if the previous owner put in a set screw or not, but I like the pb-blaster idea, seems like a great penetrating product. Will report back, shouldn't be a problem at all!

I have the same ones on my SRX. Must be something wrong with yours. Mine are very easy to pull down and turn.

I have exact same as yours and yes you need to undo set screw to adjustI have another set on drag sled with no set screw though, but yes un do set screw to adjust.
