what woud cause my #1 cylinder to be runnin rich..in the last year the plug has been pretty black an at the end of the season it fouled...its the first plug that has fouled in the sled so not sure what this could be..i got some time off work so ive been tryin to find things to do around the garage..so i thought i would start to figure this problem out..minds of well do it since its warm out..

My first guess would be a stuck float and/or needle and seat. Allowing too much fuel into the float bowl on that cylinder. Could be other things though such as weak spark on that cylinder because of bad spark plug cap or failing coil. Would check the needle and seat on that carb first though.

Worn out reeds on that cylinder? Fuel screw set richer on that cylinder? Any mods on your motor, carbs etc.?

theres some good advice right there.
I would remove the carb rack and go completely tru them.

Check/clean your ex.valves/cables to (every season).
Fixed a viper last season that had a broken cable
witch made the engine run richer and fouled the plug.
