It only took 18 years for our Polaris, riding buddy to come over to " TEAM BLUE"
We are going to try to put him on an 03 or 04 Viper. My other buddy and I had SXR"s and now are on 4-strokes. So, we have no working knowlege of these sleds. What do we need to do pre-season to one of these sleds.
From what i have read the head gasket needs changed , the track has issues and the power valves need some attention.
Any info will really help !
Also I am hoping the Viper is "stronger" than an SXR ??
......RIDE ON !!

Other than tearing the engine down i have done everything else you can do on a viper in this post. Even the headgasket. Its my daughters so its got pink but its all blue power on the inside. Lots of good info. Also do a search and read on the vipers, you could read for day's. Very strong sled. http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?t=80244

Raise the needles, do a good once over, check w arm and suspension as mentioned earlier. Do pre season tune up, send shocks to pioneer for a good revalve then ride the snot out of it.

Very nice, that sled is certainly safe from theft, assuming the cover says "Arctic Cat" on it somewhere!
