Ihave a mr. viper motor for my drag sled and can't get it out of the hole, it boggs bad, when first started testing it was about every 4th pass, now it is every pass. Did all sorts of jet changing and clutch set ups. Gonna try a new fuel pump and if that don't fix a stator is next. Any ideas? Hopefully crank isn't takin a squirt.
just a idea did you up the fuel screws and pilots or even bad gas

Mine too.
Cleaned everything, also have another of his motors and everything is fine, this one isjust bein a peckerhead, like I said, fuel pump tomm. then stator after that, if that don't fix it, gonna part the sled and move on. Damn this sport is expensive.

You are right about this sport being expensive!
Bogs out of the hole can be hard to sort out. Normally people immediately think its jetting but most times its a clutching and/or belt issues.
When drag racing with increased horsepower and traction your clutches have to be in LIKE NEW condition. Any belt slip or tension issues on either or both your primary or secondary will create havok and obviosly calibration of both clutches must be spot on and matched to perform properly. Snow is very forgiving and hides many clutching deficiencies but when you are hooking up on grass/ice/or pavement everything has to be spot on! Raising engagement can work sometimes to overide problems.
LOL!!! Thats why I always stayed with snow drags!
