From what I have read, my 02 Viper came stock with front heat exchanger protectors as well as tunnel stirps. When I got the sled I found both the strips and protectors were gone, probably removed. It appears the stock protectors were somehow attached to the exchanger as I can see no other holes in the area were they would've attached. From pics of others I have found they appear to be thinner then the aftermarket ones I have seen. Can anyone tell me if this is true and what if any, are the differences between the aftermarket and stock protectors. I replaced the strips in the tunnel and am planning on running a 1" studded track. I don't want to run into space problems with the front exchanger. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks
Gil

The factory protectors were welded on. I'm assuming the aftermarket ones would rivet on like the srx ones did.

Thanks Viperking thats what I thought I was seeing on pictures. Also they appeared to be out of thinner stock and followed the curve of the exchanger thus not sticking out so far. I just don't want that to be a problem. Thanks again GIL
