will the 97 v-max4 top gear the same as 98-01 sx chasseys,need to gear up for the 8t drivers. & 37-24 w/ 8t is pretty close 1.73to the 1.65 i have know.

I got curious and did a little searching... none of the part numbers match up between the two sleds so I'm gonna have to say no on this one.

The gears are diffrent.

all right how about the rx-1 it's got a 24 will this work on my srx.i know that it is a hivo chain but what can i do there is no other choice.have to swich it all out.thanks

No the uper gear inside splines are diffrent sizes

I'm running 23/37 with 8 tooth drivers. Little loss on top, but good corner to corner. I think it's like 1.80 ratio if i remember.

thanks for the info but trying to keep the ratio down & around the low 1.70s.i have the 8bu's & thay are loaded to the max & don't want to over rev.i know it's going to do some a little rev.thanks
