I have a 136ed viper that has stock front suspension, can i use radius and tie rods off srx,sx,etc to narrow the front end and keep my stock shocks. I am more interested in back-country riding than anything else. thanks.

not sure if those other sleds will interchange, but i know for certain if you use the mtn viper rad rods from 03-05 they will narrow you up. seems like they shared the tie rods from the mtn maxes and these would be part of the change as well. would have to double check part numbers.

not sure how much you want to narrow up but the mtn vipers ran about a 38.5 ski stance vs the 42" on the short tracks. the rad rods would begin with 8EN vs yours with the 8EK. slight variation in the trailing arm angles if i remember correctly, just take your time to re-align the front geometry.

Use the upper and lower radius rods (both sides) from a Mt Viper. They are like 2 inches narrower on each side. (38" wide ski stance as compared to 42" ski stance perhaps?)

And I agree with Ding you would also need new shocks (shorter).

Uou can make some aluminum radius rods real easy if you know some one with a lather.
Make them to legnth and thread the ends for tie rod ends.

I have short track viper shocks on my mountain viper so you would not have to change shocks, the front end sits higher than a normal viper or even a mountain viper and this setup works great. I would like to change mine to a wider ski stance if your interested in swapping parts.
