My SRX 780 has 40mm Mikuni carbs on it. Anyone know these carbs, or running a bigbore srx 780??
Last winter I was fouling plugs left, right and center, every time i went to ride! I'm digging into it now and I'm now checking over the carbs, not sure what might be wrong.
I have 52.5 pilots, 390 mains, and everything else is ok, except i don't know where the fuel screw is on these carbs, it's not on the bottom beside the bowl. Where is it on these carbs?
Any ideas for this problem???

RAN THOSE CARBS FOR YEARS ON ALOT OF SLEDS THOSE AIR SCREWS ARE ON RIGHTSIDE OF CARBS DOWN LOW JUST BENEATH LARGE SCREWS THAT ADJUST IDLE. MAYBE NOT BE CARBS BUD, MIGHT HAVE COILS ACTING UP OR PROBLEM WITH STATOR. 3:16 (yammie tony)

the pilots are probably your problem. power valve motors of the same cc don't need as large a pilot as non p.v. motors. my 835 w/ bender pipes & 38's has 40 pilots. i've tried countless combinations & anything over 40 fouls plugs & anything under 40 is tooo lean. valin & jaber have a lot of experience w/ the 780's. ask them.

I'll try the simple fix first and drop the pilots to 47.5 or 45 and see if that makes a difference. I hope it's not something major like coils or a stator.
And I found the air screw! on the side. it was at 1.5 turns out. So thats ok.
