i know this has been talked about but i cannot find what im looking for.
ive been looking for a good bottom end for the 2000 srx i picked up the end of last season(originally bought it for parts for my crashed 01 but its wayyyy tooo pretty) so i found a 1999 bottom end in working condition, what is it going to take to make the stator from the 00 (dual bulb) work in the 1999 bottom end ? can anyone show me with pics what needs to be done?
is it worth it?
any help would be awesome i would like to save both srx's they are both so nice compared to ones i find beat to shit

you can simply put the crank bearing from the 2000 pto side on the 98-99 crank and it will drop right into the 2000 case, or if you have to use the 98-99 case, your gonna have to move the pick up coil location closer to fit the smaller 2000 flywheel, either make a bracket to hold the pick up coil or weld and tap new boss to bolt it to. Theres lots of this information here, been done lots of times before.
