I GOT A 98 SRX AND IT KEEPS STALLING AND BACKFIREING CARBS ARE CLAEN CHANGED COILS CLAENED MAG EVERYTHING LOOKS FINE ANY IDAELS HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO ANYBODY ELES? I AM READY TO BURN THIS THING!!!!

Adjust your throttle and idle to spec.
Do a search for bypassing tors and give that a try as well.

SLED RAN GREAT LAST YEAR I PUT NEW PLUGS FRESH GAS DONE THE TROS BYPASS. IT STILL DOES THE SAME THING SAMES WHEN IT IS COLD I CAN GET 500FT AND IT DOES IT AGAIN. LET IT SET AND IF I AM LUCKY I WILL GET 500FT MORE. IAM GOING TO TRY SOME MORE THINGS TO IT THERE IS 4 SRXS IN MY YARD SO I WILL TRY CHAGEING A FEW PARTS.

do SRXs have fuel filters?if so,check that-Harvey

No Fuel Filter On The Srx .lots Of Gas In The Carbs.

How does it run on the jackstand? Check the pipes to see if they got clogged with a mouse nest. Are all the clylinders loading up or just one?

Sounds like the pilot jets are plugged. When it sputters and tries to die, flip the choke on. If it clears up then you definately have something clogged in the pilots.

FIRST THANKS FOR ALL THE REPLYS .THE PROBELM WAS THE STATOR .I CHANGE IT AND THE SLED WORKS PERFECT.

The choke on my SRX doesn't like to release all the way on its own sometimes. I have to give it a little nudge to get it back into its place. Anything I can do to fix that? Adjusted to choke so there's a little play in it before it engages but it still does it.
