Why do american srx models have no outboard ohlins shocks ? Seems like most canadian srx models have them. Looking at a 2001 or 2002 srx in the states both dont have piggy back ohlins shocks. Is their a big difference in ride ?
00 srx ohlins up front. The other three guys in the area I know carry the ohlins too. Maybe we are just three type to not sell.
stateside the ohlins were always an option if you ordered you your sled. typically a free upgrade with a snowchecked sled. seems like the production runs always had the kyb's.
personally i cant tell the difference in ride quality, but i am not a trail rider. but, given the opportunity to run some, i surly would just for the cool factor and adjustments.

Very adjustable, made a big difference when I went from originals to ohlins piggybacks. Just the heavier spring helped so I wasn't running as much preload. Made nice for cruising one minute and mogul pounding another and did decent in both areas
