I am thinking about a future project and would like to know a couple things that way I can pick up the needed parts along that way if I know its what I need.
Anyway I have been told I would need to put 8 tooth drivers to run a 1.25" track and stud it. How are these drive sprockets attached on the axle shaft. To me they look like they are pressed on there.
Second question if I go with 8 tooth drivers on a viper er I've read I am stuck with the bottom gear size and can only change the top. The current sizes are 22t top and 38t bottom with a 68L chain. with 9 tooth drivers.
If I went to 8 's and had to keep the 38t bottom gear what size top gear would I need to keep the gearing the same (or just slightly lower) would I need to go to a different size chain? I know there are charts on here but I couldn't figure them out.
Thanks
Gil

yes drivers are pressed
with my calculator 24t would be slightly lower geared speed, 25t would be slightly higher
I know 24's are an option not sure about a 25, never looked.
guessing 70l chain but that's just a guess
