You could just have pioneer performance rebuild your existing ones. They do a really nice rebuild / revalve deal for vipers for $179 for all 4 shocks. I haven't ridden my new ones they did but others were very pleased with the improvement in ride. Gil

You can rebuild your viper shocks. There is a few advertisers on the site, they can rebuild and revalve to your riding style and weight.....Do a search you will find a lot of stuff...

Are you thinking that your front end is a little low? If so that can be adjusted with the front springs. If when you adjust the springs and they are way out of spec setting then the springs will be "sagged out". You can purchase these from either a Yamaha dealer or from one of the site sponsers here.
As for the shocks, the '02's came from the factory with "stiff" shock valving. You can have these rebuilt and revalved. Again there are site sponsers here that can do this for you. I had all four on my Viper done and what a difference it made in the ride.
