has anyone tried using these as a replacement for the stock unit on a Viper?

I got that idea in my head last season as well as I was looking at my raptor. The thing I was worried about was the weight. A sled has alot more weight then a four wheeler fry end. I don't know if the shocks will support it.
Yea, that's where I got the idea, I have an '08 700SE so it's got the piggybacks. I may give it a try. The sled is only just over 100lbs more than the Raptor so there's not that much difference in weight.

Shocks will be pretty close, sled shocks are softer than you think. The shocks off my 99 sx were much softer than my stock blaster shocks. The only problem would be finding room for the piggyback ressie.

I would worry about the valving
i would try it if i were you. no harm in checkin it out. if it doesnt work... then o well but if it does... there might be something to gain... and at a lot cheaper price then buying bran new shocks. the remote resivour units if they will fit.... and.. not.. throw off the geometry of the sled too much...would be a definite bonus because of the anitfading characteristics of resi shocks. if ya ride hard.
