what is the setting for pilot jets..am i correct when i say, turn tell it snugs then back off 1 1/4 turns???

The pilot jet is screwed in until it's fully seated. The AIR/FUEL screw is turned in until lightly seated and then "backed out" 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 turns depending on the engine and then you can fine tune it one carburetor at a time if you want the best performance.
sorry..thats what i ment..if i set it at 1 1/2 turns..does this make it richer or leaner?

Just a tip for after you get done: If you find you have a low end bog when you go from idle to full throttle, turn the Air/fuel screw out bout 1/4 turn more

My 02 viper is 1 7/8 turns out from lightly seated. Got mine set at 2 turns out to combat the idle hang.
