Can you guys tell by looking at the pic's if the belly pan has been trimmed. I looked at the tech bulletin and the pans and I cant really tell. I know non of my hoods have been trimmed yet and my wifes tabs are starting to crack so i want to take care of this. All three vipers are the same so either they were all done or none. Here's the link to the tech bulletin for refrence. http://www.totallyamaha.com/snowmobiles/aaTECH/Service_Ticks&Recalls/ViperHoodService.htm

no it is not trimmed, mine was already done when i got it and where yours has the low spot in the lip mine was cut with a die grinder to make that low spot longer going towards the the chaincase around that corner. the inside lip on the hood was cut down also right in that same spot.

this was an update reccomended even when new, it helps with hood fittment, moreso when the bellypan starts to sag a little bit and hang out to the sides a little. and usually when that happens if you havnt done the update you start getting some stress cracking in the paint of the hood right on that curve.

I wonder if the fact that the one I bought has CPR tripples and the hood is shimmed in the front to clear the pipes helps any with this. it might be trimmed already as well. I'll have to check it out tommorrow when I go down to the shop
