I've got a set mega power srx heads with 2 sets of domes. one is labeled mega 3, the other mega 5. both are supposed to be higher than stock compression. I've got a couple ?s.
first, does anybody have any specs for these 2 domes. been searching online but not coming up with anything.

second, I'm setting up a Viper I just bought to run srx heads. was wondering if either of these domes would work for grass drags with stock porting, cpr tripples, v-force reeds, and tm 38's. and if so what octane level would it require.

yeah, I've got cc plates for my car heads that could work. and figured I could do my best to measure the squish band width and angle, etc.. Just hoping someone might have some info kicking around so I could be lazy. lol

well I found this from SRXSPEC in a 6 year old thread
This is what it was back when Megapower was still in business.

MEGA 2 : Big Bore Race
MEGA 3 : 700 race or high altitude
MEGA 4 : Big bore low compression
MEGA 5 : good pump fuel replacement
MEGA 3V : Viper high altitude
MEGA 5V : Viper good pump fuel replacement

keep lookin. I have a set stamped "5". Mopar thinks they are viperdomes. They have a pretty narrow squish band compared to stock 99 heads. The step cut is also only about .008", leading me to think they are made for viper with a regular head gasket. A SRX step cut is about .030". I bought them as SRX "trail domes" from a guy around here. Mopar says he thinks they'll be too tight. Thats as far as I've gotten so far.

yeah both set's i have are also about .008", and the angle is about 10 degrees best I can measure. I bought these as part of a high rpm/race fuel setup off an srx with the pipes, carbs, reeds, cdi, and some other odds and ends.

if this helps i got 2 sets of domes also.... one set is a "trail" with 150 lbs of comp, and 2nd set is a "race" dome with 170lbs...this was on a stock bore srx.....

you have to pop out the domes to see the marks. they are on the flat sides that would be inside the heads. mine were stamped with an ink and some were barely ledgible but from what I gather later ones were stamped into the aluminum
