front heat exchanger protectors

I was in the middle of studding my daughters new 600 venom and noticed it has no front protectors and no tunnle protectors,I also noticed they dont offer any for this sled.Is it true you dont need them with the venom?.Benders yamaha studding chart says tunnel and front heat exchanger protectors are not needed.What do you guys think?thanks-Harvey
 

thanks,just ran down to the dealer(2 miles away)and picked them up.I just bought the ones with the stud on top that you have to drill a hole up through the tunnel to install them.going out to pull the gas tank and seat,wish me luck-lol-thanks again-Harvey
