the number I have for the jackshaft bearing(NTN Bearing) is 04-156-040R.It comes with the collar.Don't buy a bearing that is made in China..either from the USA or Japan.

IIRC that bearing is on the driveshaft as well. I got mine from motion industries. Lemme double check the numbers. I got a timken through them.

I am currrently in the process of changing all these bearings. I am stuck on pulling the jacksaft. I have searched the forums but have not come up with the exact answer. Do I need to pull the skid? I have the chaincase off but now I cant get the shaft out. I have loosened the track but it still seems tight. I have loosened the set screws under the tunnel. Thanks.

YOU mean the drive shaft?

If your talking about the drive shaft you dont need to remove the drive shaft to replace the speedo side bearing. It will slide out the speedo hole on its own. Just take out 2 set screws and a bit of a nudge from a bar and it will slide right out the speedo hole. I take mine out every year to grease. If you want the whole shaft out you will need to pull the skid. If your doing all this work you might want to pull the skid and go through that also.

Ya, sorry I meant the drive shaft silly me. I got the bearing out. I didnt realise the shaft would stay and the bearing would come. Thanks
