I have a friend who owns a 2004 V-Star 650. He's looking for a web site that offers technical info on adjusting his cam shaft tensioner. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks.

Is it 'ticking'?

If you're referring to the cam chain tensioner, it's more than likely an automatic type. My 89 FJ is. Basically 80's on up are automatic. If the chain is noisy it may be time for a new chain and sprockets possibly. How many miles on the bike. The plastic or rubber guides that the chain ride on do wear down eventually. If he doesn't have a service manual for it, pick one up. Cheap $ and well worth it. I've always used Clymer for everything I've owned. Not as detailed as a shop manual but still alot of technical info. in them. If you can turn wrenches it's all you'll need.
