Bone stock. Would take 6 - 8 pulls in the morning to start. Took carbs apart, cleaned, adjusted floats to spec, cleaned fuel filter hats, replaced main jet fuel baffles, synced slides, 1 1/2 low speed adjustment, adjusted choke plungers, put back together and now it takes 3/4 pull in the morning. Grant it the temp in the morning is at 50 F when I tried but I think it will start better in the cold as well.

Sounds like you have done all you can to ensure a quick start up. The air temp. does make a big difference.
