Help - can't re-install suspension

1997 V-max 700

I removed the rear suspension bolt and middle suspension bolt.

I am trying to bolt it back it and can not get the middle suspension arm to get back up high enough in the tunnel to bolt in.

Seems like it cant pull it far enough forward because of the shock.

Have not tried/got rear bolts in either.

What am I doing wrong?

you need to cuss at it more and "threaten" the suspension with beating it with a hammer... <--- J/K

the suspensions can be hard to re-install. stick with her...
 
As Ding mentioned in that link;
"Note: Make sure the Center shaft is flipped up before sliding it under the sled. Just last week I missed this important detail, and the skid got to come back out in order to flip the shaft over."
This caused me countless hours of greif on my first reinstall. :o|
 
Jeff your not drinking enough then.. ;):D ;):D :rofl: or drank to much!!You have to also yell out at least 100 swear words at the same time..it helps some..but doesn't help when you throw that wrench thru the garage window..

I got my SRX skid in in no time..little effort.Then was putting the SXR skid and could not get that dam middle upper shaft to line up with the center tunnel holes..I just LOST it I'll tell ya.I thenjust loosened the bolt of the FRA adjuster and changed the angle and then lined up good..then put FRA in the spot I wanted.My wife saw me filpping out and couldn't believe it was me..lol

I can lose it good at times and with slight high blood pressure it sure wasn't good,the next day I was not feeling good at all..guess my blood was boiling... :o|
