I got my new Torque limiter from Port Yamaha today. It came in pieces. The bushings need to be pushed into the dog bone. Is there a special procedure to do this? Do I need ot heat the dog bone and then press the bushings in, or just lubricate and press them in? Thanks for the advice.

For those searching in the future, I just pressed the bushings in using a bench vice. No heat or lubrication required.

I tapped mine on with a hammer. They went in there fine. Sort of a pita tho.

Will this kit fit the Viper ER? I read someplace that the electric start motor interferes with part of the engine mount.

yea it will work with a viper er. The torque arm doesnt go on the front of the engine by the starter it goes on the back by the carbs on the clutch side.

Thanks, I was confusing this for the SXR engine mount. It's just the SXR engine mount that interferes with the electric starter motor.
