Anybody else around who has made a cold air intake? Was wondering if using an outerwares prefilter cover instead of a foam filter works better for not getting snow in the airbox?

Just looking for some sugestions on how other people have done it and how it worked?

Figured I would cut out the cowl so it is easier to remove, then run some exhaust tubing or plastic piping up the the cowl from the original inlet for the airbox and use the outerwears over that.

Or make a box over the top of the airbox, cut open the airbox, and open up the cowl. Airbox is gutted so the the second option might be better. Not sure if it is best to still suck some air from the engine compartment or not.

That thread has pictures of a Reichards cold air kit installed on a Phazer.......

THEN WHY DON"T YOU SAY THAT THEN? Instead of posting random posts? It does have pics, but VERY, VERY, VERY poor pictures of it. Thats why I asked about making one.

Since those ARE NOT available any more. Just trying to help out people that dont have it, but want to know how to make one. I will gladly post pictures when I get it made FOR FUTURE USERS THAT ARE LOOKING FOR PHAZER UPGRADES. PM me for upgrades I will help you with what I can.

I own the mold that Bender built for making the ram air cold air scoop for the Phazer. This was a fiberglass piece that mounted to part of the dash panel that covers the carb area and it slides into the bottom of the air box. They work pretty slick. Bender made them for the 50 build SX Phazers that he was contracted to build. I could have more made if there is interest.
