What is the longest stud you can run on a stk SRX? Also what size and brand do you prefer.

mega bites for sure.I run 144 1.075 mega bits with a 1 inch track. You will have more penetration..but could bend then also if you hit something hard.
This sled has a 1 inch track so will need the longer stud, thanks for the reply. Have always ran Woody's so good choice.
The 1.175 won't hit? gettin ready to place order, has 1 in track and stock suspension

If you are a racer and want all the traction you can with trail studs and will adjust the track before it becomes too loose go with the 1.175
If you want a setup that will last longer but will not perform the same on hard launches as the longer picks go with 1.075.
The kind of track has more to do with if the long picks will hit or not because there is differant hieghts of rubber were the track clips are atatched to the track[were it hits on the protecters]from one brand to another.
Tonys setup will give you traction like no other but will hit the front cooler and the underside of the tunnel when the track is loose or under hard braking.

I can see many studs bending on you.You will need for sure to use tall nuts on those..but still..let us know after this season ends how they stood up.

deeeeees nut's
At what length do studs need longer nut's? I could back them with another nut.
I'm new to sledding. Thanks for the advice.
did search found others say use long nuts when studs are 1.35 or bigger! Mine are 1.15
but whatever

they are called tall nuts. They are longer so they help to strengthen the actual stud itsewlf from bending easily when catching something under acceleration.

I have used them with no tall nuts and never had an issue though.

Sounds good. I did lots of searches before I bought my shorty studs. Found info that made me go with (1.40) toatal 1.15 nom length on 1.25 ripsaw on sx chassis. I had bought the wrong correct size first . way to close to heat exchanger for me. I think they were (1.65) 1.40. sold them on craigys.
but whatever
