I thought I would replace the seat cover on my 79 Exciter before winter hits us here in Michigan. It basically came apart in my hands getting the thing off.
The steel in the front and back taillight housing are pretty shot.
Does anyone know if there is anybody making replacement parts for this vintage of seat? I was hopeing I could find some made of plastic or new stamped steel pieces before I start repairing my original ones.
Any info would be appreciated.

My son built this one out of a gen II ET340 seat and the trunk from a Vmax540. The ET front plastic had to be cut some and reshaped a bit with a heat gun and he lowered the padding on top of the trunk section for a cleaner look. New plywod of course and a custom cover.
Turned out well and now he has a spot to carry a tow rope for the next time Nutz puts him in the bales at New Berlin. lol
