89 Ovation Specs

Does anyone know where i can get a spec book for my 89 ovation? I have to change the pistons on it and need the specs for the propper spacing of the rings and inch/pounds on the bolts etc.

Did you try the dealership? Sometimes your local library will stock maint. manuals as well. Mine had one for the red head sleds.

head bolt torque is 18 FT lbs ring gap should be between .012 to .020 piston clearance .003 to .005

might want to chek the 4 stroke side as there was a thread going with a whole bunch of maintence manuals linked up. i will try and find my et410 manual disc but have not seen it in awhile.

Stroke : 59.60 mm
Displacement : 337 cc

Piston/wall clearance : 0.040-0.045 mm
Piston ring end gap : 0.35-0.55 mm
