choke an throttle cable jam nut

well i had my carbs of my sled an when i went to put it backk together..the jam nut does not look to be in the same spot at all..not sure if someone moved them on me or if i did it by accident..but anyway..i just want to make sure they r good so i was wondering if anyone knows what the jam nut should be set at..thanks for any imput.. :letitsnow
 

Been awhile but I think you're going to set your throttle cable nut to wherever your freeplay is on your thumb throttle. You have to set that so your TORS will function properly.Once you have that, lock down the nut. As for the choke nut I set mine so the plungers are fully closed then lock down the nut. Dont forget to set your oil cable after. Don't have my sled in the garage yet so I'm going off of memory from last season. I'm sure someone else will chime in.
 
what is the oil cable setting because the plugs are alittle black so i think its getting to much oil..
 
I believe you need to set it at 20mm. Adjustment is between 19mm - 21mm. Once you pull the cable out of the sheath.Plenty of posts on this. Do a search on viper oil settings. Do you have a manual? If not, pm me with your email and I'll send you one. Hope this helps.
