So I'm going to stuff a Nytro skid in my SRX. I think a few have done it. I do have the measurements off the Nytro. I'm by no means a sled guru, just handy. I can understand the distance from the driveshaft to the skid mounting bolts should be bang on but I'm not sure why the distance from the top of the tunnel should be...maybe the front, but why the rear ? It's just that in the Nytro the skid bolted up about 10" from the top of the tunnel in the rear. On a SRX that will be about 2" below the running boards....that and the extra height of the skid will make for a very sloppy ride I'd think. I don't see any reason it can't be mounted up in the tunnel at the same height as the SRX skid just the proper distance from the driveshaft. Any thoughts ?

Not speaking from experience but my thought is that the skid would have to be mounted in a location that will keep the track somewhat level with the ground with the right rideheight to b able to adjust for the right transfer, ski pressure...ext and still be able to keep your ski shocks adjusted near spec. I believe there are some out there with diagrams, and temples to accomplish the swap. Good luck, keep us posted, I have one I've thought about using in my viper and im sure others are curious also.

Thought I would add that nytro's also use drop brackets from the factory just like u would use, its not that there is that much difference In the tunnels
That's kind of what I'm thinking, if I can keep the skid level and make sure I have enough clearance in the tunnel. I'm gonna tuck it up a bit because with the drop brackets and the Nytro skid I'm thinking it'll be too top heavy. I guess worst case is to just install drop brackets after.

This is how I have done it, because of the step up on the Nytro tunnel, the matching point of the inside of the srx tunnel to the nytro would be at the top side of the protectors on the Nytro. Its really close to the actual step in the Nytro tunnel.
