Should i cut the ears of my case for my 2000 srx i heard it makes great power

i have a 2000 ported and heard that if i had my ears cut on top of my case or some people call them the lips will i make more power

no when you look on top of your case with the jugs off its the taps that cover your crank
makes your crank more exspoded see it alot on race sleds they are cut wide open just wondering for stock pipes

Not worth it. I'd leave them the way they are.
