yamaha bravo 250 problem

i have a bravo 250 sled .i can start it up good but after about 20 seconds it shuts itself of.but if i give it a little prime every 10 seconds i can keep it running while i keep on priming .i was just wondering wat my problem is and how i can fix it .so if anyone knows wat my problem might be please help .thanks alot

Sounds like you need to clean the carb, it's not getting fuel

i cleaned the carb a couple months ago ,the primer line connects into the main line before the carb .thanks

the pilot jet is plugged up, it keeps runningwiththe primer because your giving it a crutch to stand on so to speak, the pilot jet controls the low speed idling and revving up.
the jets need to be taken out of the carb and sometimes a small wire run thru them along with spraying carb cleaner up thru the carb and it should come out in the throat of the carb, if it doesnt the circuit is plugged up.

the fuel pump is inbetween the carb and the tank .i had it apart to replace the filter in it .could it be that i didnt put it correctly togather again and that it is not pumping fuel
