Will an M-10 skid from a 2003 polaris 700 Classic fit my 2003 viper
I have found one for $ 500
Is that a fair price
What else will I need to install it ?

The skid should fit but I would assume you will need to purchase the specific mounting kit for your Viper....$500 sounds cheap for an M-10. Since it's several years old you may want to have the shocks recharged/gone through while the skid is out.

you will want to get mounting measurements from the polaris if your going to mount it yourself. do a search on this site and there should be plenty of info on mounting m-10 skids to pro action tunnels.

Thinking of buying a new setup directly from FAST

Will I have to do anything to the front suspension of the sled

I have an M-10 in my viper, I would suggest contacting Fast and getting the pro-action conversion kit. It tells you where to drill the tunnel, it comes with spacer plates. This site has great instructions showing the mounting of the M-10 in a proacton set-up. I have Olins up front, I went from position 8 to 10 (stiffer) for my riding. You will find the rear bumper 2 inches higher, the skid lighter.

Absolutely, (to both questions) I bought a new M-10, the extra travel allows me to keep up in the rough stuff with the longer travel guys at the end of the day, I am not near as tired after a long ride (as with the proaction). The instructions also come with approximate settings for your weight, you just fine tune after installation.

I did, hadn't done anything like this before but between the Fast instructions and the TY demonstration (tech section, suspension, M10 into a proaction) is wasn't hard. It took me about 2 days..ha ha.. but I also changed tracks while I was under there, measured everything about 10 times then drilled a hole or ground down a rivet or bracket then repeated about 100 times.
