i have a host of problems i am now facing!
1.)anyway, my viper has no brakes at all. i have fluid in the resevoir and its going to the brakes because when i open the bleeders, fluid comes out. what could be the problem??
2.) also, i have a puddle of oil underneith my sled. its been sitting all summer and im hoping no mice ate through the lines. what lines should i check to see where the oil is coming from. i know its coming from the engine, just not know where cause the belly pan is in the way.
3.) And finally, my suspension is sagging a lot more since i installed it. I installed a 04 viper 144 suspension in it last winter. are my shocks just in need of an adjustment or is it something else? why would my suspension be sagging so bad? i can pick the back of the sled up like 5 inches before i acctually start lifting the track off the ground.

1. Rusted in place caliper? Remove caliper, remove pads, lightly squeze brake. Does piston move?
2. Check oil hose under carbs. Check resoviour.
3. Rebuild?

X2 ^^^^ Piston in the caliper may have some corrosion on it. Is the piston moving when you apply the brakes?probably have to take it apart and clean it out. Gotta be either the oil tank or a line. Time to dig in! And like Snopax said, may be time for a rebuild on the shocks. Obviously up to you on that one. Everyday is a great day to turn some wrenches!

Remove the airbox and check all the lines from the oil pump to the fuel pump and to the oil tank. Also check the gasket on the chain case.
Its normal for the suspension to "sit in" a few inches. Meaning you can pickup the back end several inches before it starts to lift off the ground. Being a long track it may be more pronounced now. Rebuilding your shocks would be a good idea if they have not been done for a while.
Keep in mind shocks having nothing to do with suspension height. Only the springs and spring tension can change the height of the suspension. The shocks only dampen the oscillation of the springs.

alright thanks guys. i've missed wrenchin on this thing so im gona tear it apart this weekend. it makes since that the piston is just frozen. i think its probably time for a rebuild on all my shocks seein as i doubt they've ever been done before. i wonder if a hose came loose while riding seein as i torn most the engine down to install the oil throttle plate i broke last year. who knows
