What is the best way to increase the travel or ground clearance on the front end of a 2002 Viper? Would Ohlins shocks up front make a big difference?

your stock shocks do a decent job, it's the stock springs that have a lot of sag in them, try a stiffer spring or tighten yours up a bit to where you like it. Keep in mind you can only go so far before the sway bar stops further extension of the suspension
i have a set of 440 iq springs coming for my viper..hoping it will raise my front alittle more than what it is now...i will let you know when i get them

No still 13.5 inches on a SRX. I think you can send them in and have them extended. Might be worth it depending on the price you get for them in the first place. Carver or pioneer can help with that.

No such thing as a dumb question. Iv'e been meaning to call carver and ask on extending them for sure seeing you run across SRX ohlins on ebay a lot. Might come out ahead in the end.

The srx shocks can not be lengthened enough to matter. The make extensions, I think 10mm. The body is not long enough to put longer shafts into.
What is the reason for wanting the extra height? If it is to go off trail, you should go with bigger skis instead of trying to lift the sled.
