Thinking about putting a powder bar on my SRX. Not for the reasons people normally would put one on...(though it may possibly come in handy from time to time yanking and pulling on the sled)

Last week I took my daughter to the local powersports store to check out size of helmets for her and she climbed on a mountain sled and made the comment it had a handle bar just for her.....(referring to the powder bar)

I see they may straps, solid bars, and I believe Powermadd even has one that flexes a bit. I am sure some have probably put them on their sleds and wondering if one style works better than the other one?

Initial ideas of a kitty kat for her faded after hearing from relatives about how quickly she'd outgrow it....and the price for a 120 right now is up there a ways to find out if she truely enjoys it or not or if she'd feel comfortable out of the chute. Figure I'd start with a helmet and the above setup and a few short trail rides around the town on nice days to possibly peak her interest.

Thanks,

Steve

the mountain straps work perfect for little ones to hang on to there are many to choose from rsi makes a nice one that flexs out of the way and ebay has fabcraft ones for 5 bucks most of the time

My buddy made a t bar and tapped the handles bar riser for his daughter. It worked awesome and was solid.

My Mnt Viper came with the pliable strap on it, and I've use the solid ones as well. I prefer the solid straps hands down. When I grab it and want to reef the sled over, I like something that doesn't have much give to it.

My son Tyler loves grabbing onto the Mountain strap on the sled. And I agree that a firmer/solid type strap is better. Here is the Fabcraft Polybar that I use:

Thanks for the responses! Heading over to shade tree power sports outlet store tomorrow to see what we may find. It's so close and I have never been there.
