1994 vmax drop brackets

I just bought a 1994 V-max. I bought 3.5" drop brackets for it to raise it a bit.
It states in the add from the person that it improves riding performance.

I read about people saying that the center top idler wheels need to be lowered also and some say you don't.. ???
