So I am changing handlebar risers on my srx and as I was starting to put everything back together the one thing I have a question about is there is a copper metal piece that holds the throttle and choke cables in place and I dont remember where it mounts by the handlebars if anyone could help me out with this and or had a pic from a repair manual I would really appreciate it thanx guys.

Im sure this is a stupid question but does anyone know what im talking about when i mention that that little bronze colored bar that goes between the steering post and the mount for the handlebars, im in the process of either putting on a new riser or just using my old setup and am not sure where exactly that piece mounts? Anyone??
If it's the one I'm thinking of, I discarded mine when I put on risers...
Maybe a picture would help
Maybe a picture would help
Also if it's the one I'm thinking of, I think it pancaked on the steering post and bolted in with the bracketing....
again pictures may help

Yes I think you are correct sorry for not having a pic dont have a camera with me. When I was bolting my riser block and handlebars to the steering post I tried accompanying that piece and It seemed when I added that, that the handlebars seemed to have a gap when sitting on the riser block?
