Anyone have experience with this oil?

It's all my Dad used to run in our race atv's when I was younger, now I've got my first MM and I'm hunting for a good oil.

I see a million oil threads, none really have a dominant winner. And hardly any info on this oil within the forums.

Thanks guys

Doing more digging and discovering that the 927 seperates at low temps.

Super M injectable is looking appealing, but pricy.

castor oil is probably the BEST oil in the business,,, except for it's "troubles" it tends to turn into "boogers" if left in a carburetor for more than a week or so and has bigtime trouble with low temperatures.. Try KLOTZ synthetic snowmobile oil. You'll be happy you did !

unfortunately this subject can be much like pulling the pin on a grenade and counting to five ;)! there are many opinions on what oils run great and what oils to avoid. your best bet is to do your homework. there are plenty of threads on here that talk about oil, and you are right that none of them pick one oil as "the one". but just weed through it and find the oil that seems to work the best for you. sorry i dont have more for ya!!! good luck and would love to know your results!!

I am a diehard Maxima fan and ran Super M in my high performance jet ski. I had to rebuild the motor a few times due to mechanical failure (broken bolts where they didn't belong) and checked the specs when the motor was tore down and found VERY minimal wear.

I bought a case of Tundra R to try, I hope it works s well as my other experience. The oil is supposed to be smokeless and not stink... I may have a place where you may be able to get it at a fair price, I/M me and I'll send you the info.

i have 11k on my venture 700 with no signs of needing a rebuild . amsoil interceptor oil used

Well I think where most of the wear occurs is when guys try to run the fuel/oil mixture to the ragged edge to try to squeeze the most power out as possible. To me a slightly richer mixture goes a lot farther in repair costs and down time due to high wear. Meaning if the sled calls for a 50:1 mix, I don't have a problem if the mix is between 40-50:1, just as long as when I park my sled or 2-stroke vehicle that there isn't a puddle of oil coming out the exhaust after sitting for a bit. Plus the other reason why I like to run aftermarket oil is because usually the factory oil reaks.

YA LIKE THE YAMAHA RD400 I GOT , WELL IT DID NOT RUN RIGHT :ban:
BUT THEN IT WAS ACTUALLY SPITTING OUT ALL OVER THE FLOOR , OUT THE PIPES . YUP IT WAS SET TO HIGH
:bling: BUT NOW ITS GETTING A MAKEOVER . YAMAHA TWO STROKES :bling:

I have used Maxima 927 in my "Premix" 2 strokes for many years and have been very satisfied with it.
I built and raced a mod 650 Indy that used to have issues with intake side[thrust side] piston skirt scoring. When I switched to 927 the problem was drastically reduced or basically elliminated.
I currently run this oil in my modified RZ500 and because I still have a few cases of this oil, in the warm spring weather I add a few ounces to all my sleds fuel to aid in high heat lubrication and to get that "Bean Oil" smell.
