I was curious to see where some people on this forum ride at. I live in northwest Ohio where winters aren't what they use to be. We got about a foot of snow a week ago but now it is starting to melt. I have a bad feeling learning from past experiences that this may be the last snow for a while.
Finland
Hi!
Do most of my riding in Lapland, Finland. I live just north from the arctic circle. If you can read the upcomig articles about the Arctic Trail from Snowtrax and Snoweek, check them out. There you get a idea what it`s like over here. I just hope it would be legal to ride offtrail here. Now, if you get caught, you`ll be fined, badly... And with my V4 Mountain bumpy trails aren`t the place to be, even with my Öhlins shocks.

We have no real trail system up here in Alaska. The trails we do have are mostly ungroomed. I'm sure some day though, we will probably end up just like you guys. The liberal greenies will take over. To us up here, trails just get you to deep stuff. Thank God, Soc

I ride in NY. Tug Hill, Cranberry lake, Stillwater, Tupper Lake, Oswego, and Webster(Ontario), NY
Cranberry Lake, Star Lake, and Tupper Lake are my Favorite if they have enough snow.
Tug Hill has snow typically when no one else does, but the trails can get beat up quickly from the number of sleds going across them.

cool. i want to go to the u.p. (or somewhere with a lot of snow) for a vacation maybe next year. i wish we'd get more snow around here. we usually get about 4-5 inches then it melts, then another 3 then it melts, so on and so on. it makes me mad. at least it sounds like u guys always have snow!

pretty much ride Revelstoke BC only, we havent had enough snow in this part of Alberta for the last 6-7 years, so have to travel 12-16 hours one way to hit the hills. Pemberton (whistler) is 16 hours away. We go to Valemont the odd time, its only 8-10 hours, but I hate it there, the people are complete knobs.
