My friend has a 98 srx 700 that is for sale for $2800 CAD. It has 3500 miles, enigne ported by wildwood motorsports in Winnipeg MB, bender can, bender cold air box, v force reeds, jetted up 3 sizes, re-geared and chained, Max performance clutching, bender transfer rods, brand new single ply track (rev xp take-off), viper rear suspension, ohlins shocks up front. Is $2800 dollars a deal? I am really considering buying this sled and selling my 99...........thoughts?

that seems high to me, jus picked up 02 srx same miles for a lot less and in mint shape

from what I've seen here there is a big difference in price from the states to canada. it seems right compared to other canadian prices i've seen posted here but I have no firsthand experience with canada sleds. i've had 4 srx's and a viper over the last 7 years here in the states and I've never payed more than $1500. some have had issues others I bought in the dead of summer when prices are low

If it;s in nice shape and it was quality work that was done to the sled then I'd say that's not a bad deal. They seem to go all day on kijiji for $2500-3500. Like staggs said, for some reason they hold their value in Canada. I paid $2200 for a 2000 with all sorts of things wrong with it....granted you can't really see everything and have to take the seller's word sometimes.

I think its more of a longer winter and a "exchange rate" thing than a they hold a higher value in canada. I gladly forked over 2400 U.S for my 00 that is/was mint and already upgraded just as I would have if I had done it myself. I put 1100 touble free miles on it last season, cleaned carbs put gas and oil in it and rode it! Value often times equates to what your willing to pay. Not knowing the exchange rate it seems to be a reasonabley fair deal to me.

I checked, thats roughly 2740 US. I would think thats a touch towards the high side. Definately a supply and demand situation and this time of year theres usually more demand than supply. just my .02!
