Is there any Yamaha dealers in Vermont now? Granite City Cycles in Barre closed a few years ago, there was one in W. Lebanon, NH which is just on the border that closed a few years ago also. And now, Lucky's in Bethel is closed. What are we to do?

I would think it has to do with the economy.Smaller dealerships can't make a go of it and on line companies are coming on strong now..so less business for them local dealers. You probably will see more dealers dropping out as the economy gets worse and we go into another recession.I don't go to any local dealerships anymore here because they are charging way to much. They probably have to to try to survive, but us customers can find better prices on line now.I can pu OEM drive belts for less then half price on line compared to what the dealer sells it for here...go figure.

i order my parts online, but it is from a local dealership so i can go pick the parts up when they come in. I order online at thier website because i save about 20% from the in store prices. they say it because it automated & they don't have to pay counter people. Whatever, order online & pick up at store, saves the shipping charge & 20%.

even with dollar exchange, duties and delivery I am still saving a bundle from on line stores compared to local dealers..just a fact of life now..sorry dealers.

Dealership here sells a belt here for around $125.I can pu on line for $46.00.Mind you I order a bunch of stuff at one time..so shipping isn't just for 1 belt.Everytime I place an order I always will order another belt.I now have 4 spare belts and the 2 sleds have new belts on them also. That would add up to around $750 if from dealer..but only around $300 from on line...that is over half price.Tell me it isn't so that a dealer can make that much profit on 1 item..that is illegal I think. They don't get my business anymore...sorry
